Hi Marsha ,
It’s really hard to tell without seeing the space. However, generally speaking, I wouldn’t apply crown with a brick veneer.

Would a crown molding in oak look alright? My dining room is connected to my kitchen which has oak cabinets and trim. Ceilings are 8 feet high.
